Kimberly Van Haitsma, Ph.D., is a Professor of Nursing and Director of the Program for Person-Centered Living Systems of Care at The Pennsylvania State University. She is the co-founder of Preference Based Living along with Dr. Abbott. Dr. Van Haitsma’s research focuses on the development of person-centered assessment tools, intervention approaches, and implementation strategies that enhance quality of life and quality of care for older adults living with dementia and their care partners.
